Lee Latchford-Evans is best known as one-fifth of Brit Award winning band Steps, the UK’s most successful mixed sex pop group of all time with 14 top five singles, 4 number one albums, over 22 million record sales and 8 sold-out national arena tours under their belts.

The band are currently making history by being the only mixed gender pop group to have a number one album over four consecutive decades. Their hits include #1’s ‘Tragedy’, ‘Heartbeat’ and ‘Stomp’, the gold certified ‘One For Sorrow’ and ‘Better Best Forgotten, ‘5,6,7,8’, Last Thing On My Mind, Love’s Got A Hold Of My Heart’, ‘Chain Reaction’ and many many more.

In 2011 the band recorded a sky1 documentary series ‘Steps Reunion’ - the highest rating original programme on Sky that year which then spawned a second series ‘Steps on the Road’ following the band on their sell out UK Arena Tour.

In 2017, the band marked 20 Years of Steps and released their first single in over 6 years ’Scared Of The Dark’ which hit #1 on iTunes. They released their ‘Tears On The Dancefloor’ album which also reached #1 on iTunes and has now been certified Gold.  The album featured BBC Radio 2 A-List singles ‘Story Of A Heart’ (written by Benny & Bjorn from ABBA) and ‘Neon Blue’ where Lee was assistant Director to the video. 2017 ended on a high for the band, as they embarked on their 22 date sold out ‘Party On The Dancefloor Tour’ across arenas in the UK & Ireland, selling over 300,000 tickets - making it one of the biggest pop tours of the year.

Steps went on to play an additional 17 stadium and outdoor shows as part of their ‘Summer Of Steps’ tour in 2018.

Now with another two studio Albums ‘What the Future Holds’ (2020) and ‘What the Future Holds Part 2’ in 2021  both reaching No2 in the national charts steps smashed out another sell out Arena tour in 2021.

 

Since then Steps have headlined Brighton Pride, released the No1 Album ‘Platinum collection’ and performed as a headline act on the Mighty Hoopla stage.

 

Alongside the band, Lee has also presented show’s such as MTV, The Vault and Smash Hits Poll winners among others. He has appeared in reality TV show’s 'The Games', 'The Match', 'Fear Factor' and won the competitive SAS style show ‘Commando VIP’.

 

Lee is a professional Actor and has starred on London’s West End in the musical 'Grease' and 'The Comedy Trials' in Leicester Square. He has played Triston Farnon in 'All Creatures Great and Small', Christian in new musical ‘Wolfboy’, Bob in the theatre production of ‘Rita Sue and Bob to’ and he took on the lead character Niko Nikovsky in the Smash musical ‘Eurobeat’ at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

 

His Film credits include British Feature Films ‘10 Dead men’, ‘Cash & Curry’, the 2017 Sci fi Horror ‘The Rizen’, Action Thriller ‘Dead Ringer’ and Comedy Horror ‘Paintball Massacre’.

 

On top of all this he is a 2nd Dan Kickboxer, qualified PT and is working on his own fitness brand LLE Fitness.
